Southern Sudan Project is 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that has a small executive staff and a crew of volunteers to handle all operational and administrative duties. We take pride in being a small organization whose vision and partnerships are global. Our main office is located in Richmond, VA. SSP also has regional representation in Atlanta, Denver, Orlando, Dallas, Chicago, Philadelphia and Hartford, CT. Please meet our staff.
William Deng
Mr. Deng holds Bachelor’s of Arts degrees in Homeland Security and Political Science from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). In 2008, William was presented with the ‘Black History in the Making’ Award by Department of African American Studies at VCU. He also serves as Founder/Executive Director of Total Access Preparatory Academy (TAPA) based in Richmond, VA, Chairman of Aweil Youth Association in USA, Associate Professor in the Department of Homeland Security at VCU, Founder and Director of Outreach for Dinka Christian Fellowship Church of Richmond, VA, Director of Humanitarian Aid & Development for Sudanese Marginalized Forum and Founder of Sudanese Marginalized Dialogue.
Etaniel Ben Yehuda
Etaniel has several years of experience in nonprofit program management, volunteer management/supervision, youth & community development and education administration. He received a formal education in International Studies with a minor in African Studies at Virginia Commonwealth University.
